Jim LaRue was born in Clinton, OK in 1925. He has over 55 years of coaching experience and has coached multiple levels of football in 7 different countries. He served as an assistant coach at Kansas State in 1951...Spent the '52 season as Head Coach at the Naval Training Center in Bainbridge, MD...Head Coach at University of Arizona from 1959-`67...Assistant Coach at Utah from 1968-`73...Served one year as the Defensive Coordinator and one year as the Offensive Coordinator at Wake Forest...Coached 2 years for the Buffalo Bills...Chicago Bears Defensive backfield Coach from 1977-`93...Served as the offensive coordinator for the Coast Guard Academy in 1997.
